HughesTech Labs:
No P2P File-Sharing in Antarctica (USAP) Security Alert. Employees of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP) received a security alert today, warning them about the threats that BitTorrent and other P2P applications pose to them and the USAP.
Aside from eating up precious bandwidth, these applications are bound to install viruses and keystroke loggers.
It is about time that someone asks employees who are hired to work!…to actually work and not use P2P.
The reality is that those employees are there to WORK and not download stolen music/video or porn in their working hours.
It is 0bsured to imagine that there are people defending those employees.
GET OVER IT and obey the Law.
P2P have many …many problems and is counter productive to all.
I suggest to United States Antarctic Program (USAP)to use SafeMediacorp’s “Clouseau” to assure the enforcement of the policy of NO P2P and NO circumventing proxies.
Hooray and Bravo to USAP!
