Is Your PC Really Secure? Think Again!

HughesTech Labs has been reviewing the shrink-wrap Windows® XP SP2 Firewall for some time now.
What we found was very strange and unusual. It turns out that some internet applications seem to get added to the Exception rule, without the permission from the Owner or the Administrator of the PC!
The current Firewall gives the user no indication (feedback) of any activity good or bad, and only supposedly works at blocking inbound security threats. With no notifications, you, the PC user, is in the dark when it comes to internet threats.
But don’t be discouraged, we’ve found a quality replacement for the current XP SP2 Firewall, and best of all its free!
ZoneAlarm® Basic (free version), by Check Point®, is simple to install and disables the XP firewall.
After you install ZoneAlarm® you will be required to reboot the PC, that is where XP’s Firewall is disabled from working any longer.
ZoneAlarm® monitors both inbound and outbound ports of your PC, and alerts you when something strange is happening. It also notifies you when you are trying to access a remote internet port that hasn’t been given permission yet.
In our opinion, Check Point® did a fantastic job with their Firewall…
